Learning about Time with Adelle. Had been trying very hard to teach her this. On and off, she tends to forget what was taught previously although she did show sign of being able to tell the Time each time I asked her.
Still need more practicing maybe?
That’s to do measurement! Simple measurement for her age. I’ve tried many ways, one of it was to get her to measure different objects via cubes, pom poms, marbles, shapes etc.
How Ayden learns to identify the word of Big and Small as well as to do matching with big and small objects.
Using two pom poms to find upper and lower case letters.
Great fun he is having!
That’s the fill up this shape full of pom poms. Have u try it today with your kids?
The cheeky look on his face. Using dice to find the number and match it with the one shown on the pic.
Playing with tangram is always so fun for him. He loves to mix and match till he got the correct picture he wants.
I’ve always love this activity. It’s matching of upper and lower case with its meaning. Today Ayden handles it pretty well and I’m proud of him for being able to know all the alphabet and it’s meaning by 20mths old. Now at 29mths old, he could do it freely without much guidance.
And when Ayden loves to handle alphabet, I’ll just let him have free play with this by matching when I’m busy coaching the older one. Look, he had done a good job with this!
I’m going to share here how these oils benefit myself and family.
Look at this, valor, lavender and abundance oil. These three oils greatly helped the kids in developing peace, and have great soothing purpose with a feeling of being positive.
Yes, ever since the school starts, the children are feeling real insecured. So I tried these oils after reading the review of it. And bingo, it does make them feel so much better! And hey, even for myself, when I applied these three oils, it does make me feel so positive and secured!
Ayden is down with runny nose, as I read that Ningxia red boost immunity and Rc oil helps in runny nose, therefore I gave these to Ayden and it helps me so much better!
This morning, Adelle woke up with stomach upset, and I’ve google and found that these three oils help in stomachache. So!!
I applied mostly peppermint for Adelle on her tummy and sole. She feels so much better and no complain of stomach aching!
Look at how amazing these oils are!
The girl is just too sweet!
The boy is just too cheeky!
As many others who know me, they will know that I love to prepare the children Birthday theme say six mths in advance.
I need to source for ideas for goody bags, free printable templates, the design of Birthday cake, the venue if there’s any.
Something different this year was that we won’t be holding any combine party for the kids.
It will purely be sch celebration, and maybe home celebration.
But I Will be planning a 6th yr old party when Adelle and Ayden turns 6
Now back to the topic, this little girl ask for strawberry shortcake theme of cake and goody bags while Ayden, we will be doing Lego theme goody bags for him after seeing how excited he gets on playing with Lego.
Now I’m getting jelly cake for the kids sch celebration this year. Just that for Lego theme, I find it hard to source for it.
Maybe just a simple cupcakes without any theme for Ayden school celebration?
A simple rhyme for Adelle with the theme of geometric shapes that I’ve google online for.
It’s simple and easy interesting for Adelle to try and read it. She can read it pretty well with little assistance.
Since I’ve these geometric models with me, I made full use of what I had.
Teaching the rhyme of geometric shapes with read hands on make the child has more understanding of it.
Am pretty much enjoying my days at home with them while their Daddy is out to work.
But lately they fall sick. Yes both of them are sick at the same time that even myself got sick as well.
When both kids are sick at the same time, they tend to be more grumpy and are fighting for attention.
It’s so tiring and unmanageable!
Today, the husband is unable to apply for leave due to work reason, I did nothing with the kids at all. Is like I’m busy with the house work, while Adelle is so sick that she just wanna lie down and rest, Ayden self entertain himself by watching the TV program or playing on his own.
Ayden fever starts on Mon and last night he gets better with no fever at all. But this morning he woke up with pretty high fever till noon time the fever went down and happy to say there is no sign of fever till now at 1120pm.
As for Adelle, her fever starts last night, and till now the fever went up and down for a couple of times.
She was complaining the pain in her ears that we brought her to the doc for a check and medication was given after which.
And so, we were so tired and busy when kids are unwell.
Let’s bake together with Adelle and Ayden. Today we are baking Pineapple upside down.
This little girl is such a good helper that as she grows older, she loves to step into the kitchen with me to do baking, or even to stand one side to see how I prepare meals.
And so, Ayden starts with all these hands on with me in the kitchen, which I’ve always feel it’s a good one for him to start early.
I hope by then when both children get older, they will accumulate a sense of responsibility, also to be able to do some simple dish…
Our not so nicely done Pineapple upside down
Prediction and measure with items found on the worksheet.
She predict the estimated cubes for each items.
Next she will use these cubes to measure every items and see if she was right.
This is quite an interesting activity for pre schooler.
This is super easy and all it takes is just matching of the right shapes…
Indeed it was super super easy that doing reinforcement like this works best while I’m busy coaching the elder one.
And so, this was his work.
I’ve got him to throw a dice, and when the number is shown, asked him to read out the number before using a dot a dot ink to dot on the right number seen on the piece of paper.
It’s that easy and once he gets the hang out of it, everything is done up so easily.
Try this today with your children!
Doing the same thing, it seems to be very easy for Adelle to play with this activity.
While I’m blogging, something strike my mind. I should have asked her to add up the two numbers, and got her to dot on the number which she had added up to see if she could find any there.
But again this might be too challenging for her and she might get bored if she can’t manage to find any.
But I can try this in case it turns out to be fine?
