For the first 500 kids, there will be a free coloring and making of the badge.

So happen that we reached there before noon and we were ‘entitled’  for this privilege then.

Of course, the children were so excited in coloring the picture they choose and got their badge made by the staff.

They were happy.

Suppose to color up the pictures and using cardboard to do a cut out of the pictures. Looks so so fun.

Upon getting all the needed items. The children started coloring with all they had.

Some materials that were recycled to create ‘new items’..
Telling the children how we can work with recycle items.

Working with toys that were played in the past.
Something rather different but similar.

Pick up sticks and balls!

The huge five stones!
Isn’t that so interesting?

The children love this a lot. Kept asking for more after rounds of playing.

The children did a simple art and craft using cardboard again!

To make a house using cardboard.

I feel the older child can do it pretty well, the younger one still needed some help in it.

But all was well as I’ve ‘trained’  them at home on how to work with art and craft materials.

The greatest place to visit ever!

So, have you made your visit already?

Responsibility of big sister role.

Once there was a grandma who told me this ‘ elder child be a girl will be better than a boy’

I asked her why is that so? She added ‘ girl will be more responsible and take care of the younger one.’

Does it makes sense?

Well for me,i feel that half of it is right. Yes girl tends to take care of the younger one at times.

But it also means fighting with the younger one as well!

It depends very much on the child itself. Some big brother can be very responsible as well. Isn’t that so?:)

Working with pasta!

image

We had sensory play together and painting as well over the last two weekends!

image

image

image

The children were so engrossed with what they were doing when I did this activity with them.

Yes, it’s meant for sensory cut painting play for the children. Initially I had wanna them to feel the texture of the pasta before and after cook.

Next I would love them to paint it as well.
Work as another go art and craft as well.
I should had given them a piece of paper to drop these colored pasta on it and form a little design.

Next time perhaps! :)

Twice a year open house at Punggol South PCF.
It’s every May and Nov of the year just before the school holidays start.

Well this year is the same. No difference.
Daddy took half day leave to check out how Adelle performs in school. Of course we brought Ayden back from school slightly earlier than the usual dismissal time in order for him to watch the performance that Adelle is going to present with her classmates.

Everything was great!
My soon to be 5yo Pre schooler did a ‘not too bad job’

I’ve always give praise to my children for doing something wonderful so as to make them feel at joy and be confident of what he or she is going to do next in the future.

Art and craft with children

image

image

Getting the children to do a simple art and craft. Now these are the materials needed. Some strings, markers, felt and cut out design of clothes, some sticky eyes, paper and glue. That’s all that were needed!

image

image

Children were all so excited and into drawing their first picture. The face of either a boy or a girl.
This activity is especially great if you have a child who loves to draw. He or she will have great fun playing around with this activity.

image

image

Once they are ready, they can glue up the various materials and get the ‘boy or girl’ ready!

image

image

Look at this, they are almost done with the art and craft which they had created!

image

image

You will feel happy, feeling great when you see how happy your kids are. That’s the moment to describe my feelings.

image

image

All right, they had finished their work!

image

Without help, they did something so cute that I must keep this piece of art works of theirs.

Yes even for my almost 3yo,he did everything on his own. How amazing that can get! He drew a face and started pasting all the felt, hair for the boy he drew.

Of course my soon to be 5yo can do a much better job.

I’m sure this activity will be in my lesson plan again!

Drawing at Changi Airport.

image

image

The visit to Changi Airport. We have a task for that day.(Last sun)

image

image

Trying to do a very simple drawing /writing.

image

I planned something for the children to do at Changi Airport. Something which they had never tried doing.

That’s to draw something base on what they had seen in the Airport. It’s that simple isn’t it?

Drawing at Botanic garden is very common as many children we went there tend to draw and eat the snacks that was prepared earlier on.

But drawing at Changi Airport, it’s the very first time I got the children to do it.

They are pretty much enjoying it and can sit down for quite sometime trying to draw or write base on what they see.

That’s something very good to train young children. :)

As we get nearer with Nature.

Picnic with childhood friends. How nice!!

Fun time over at Botanic garden where we had snack and drawing there.

Getting closer with nature.

Having childhood friends is equally important. Just like how their mummies and Daddy knows one another

A picture of Daddy’s girl and Mummy’s boy?

Having Potluck over at the picnic area.

My secondary classmate.

I ever posted that the wife is my secondary school classmate wheres the husband is my primary school classmate.

Look at how small the world can be.

All right, we had been staying in contact for the longest time ever. After we step into working life, we had been staying in contact, till we gave birth, we will arrange for a meet up to shop for children related items.

Now as both our kids get much older, we plan for activities for our kids.

The reason for this picnic is to meet up and have a chit chat session while the children get to play, draw and eat over at the picnic session.

It’s fun, children are enjoying themselves to their fullest! :)

Happy Bento on Wednesday.

image

image

I’ll give the name of Happy Bento!
Yes, I don’t make fantastic Bento sets, but I do prepare happy Bento for my children.

So long as they are happy, I’m happy as I used my heart and mind to’ build’ each and every Bento set happily.

Today is no exception. I created two sets of happy Bento for them!

Tangram, pom poms, colorful sticks.

image

image

image

image

Oh well, making use of tangram, some colorful sticks and pom poms, I’ve decided to let the children hands on with using what was given to create many objects.

What you seen here are sun, car, etc.

I’m merely following the idea adapted from one of the teaching materials weighing 11.4kg that will arrive to my place soon. This teaching aid is more on right brain training and will fully occupy the kids I feel.

I’ll elaborate more when this item comes.

So I make use of what I’ve had at home to do up a similar activity for the children.
They somehow love it.

Tuesday Bento.

image

image

Today’s Bento sets are slightly different. I didn’t do any cut out but did a triangular shape of bread with cheese, margarine and chicken mayo for the children.

Adelle requested for tomatoes, her favorite  but I didn’t give Ayden any as he is not so into tomatoes anyway. :)
