A day at the fitness corner.

image

During the school holidays, I tend to bring them down to the playground to play. This is to occupy the children.

image

And guess what, they were excited trying out new thing. That’s to go to the fitness corner for play!

Of course I gotta teach them to be very careful as these are the things that are not meant for them.

image

image

And they are just too excited to try new things out.

image

image

At the end of the day, they are happy children!

Let’s learn balancing.

image

image

Children learn to do measurement like this.
I got them to choose a number of their choice, and see which side of the weighing scale will go down.

Of course Adelle knows the concept and tend to choose the biggest number of all.

Whatever it is, this is also to teach them different numbers added up can eventually balance the total amount.

Art and craft with Adelle and Ayden

image

Paint art for the children. That’s what they did at home during the school holidays.

image

image

They are  happy children, aren’t they?

Children learn from playing. We did simple paint art together during the school holidays.
They pretty much enjoy this art and craft activity and asked for more.

In fact they just love art and craft!

Fun @ Cool De Sac

image

Where’s this cool place?
This is Cool De Sac. Seriously in love with this new indoor playground that I’ve read up quite a couple of reviews regarding this place.

Initially we had wanna go on Adelle Birthday itself. But decided to try it out yesterday as we had plans for some other indoor playgrounds for both the children come their birthdays.

Supposedly to go last week, but due to the heavy work load of the husband, we decided to go for it only yesterday.

Seriously this playground worth to check it out.
Here are some of the pictures which I’ve taken during the whole play.

image

Before getting started, the children got to wear their socks.

image

This is the longest slide among what we had seen there. For a start, only Adelle can manage to try it. But just before we leave, Ayden gets to try it out as well as I’ve found another way up which he still need Adelle to push his back in order to get up to the slide level.

image

image

Adelle dare not try on the bridge over at this area. No doubt Ayden is trying his very best to run, yes to run from the start till the end of the bridge!

image

This is the mini slide which the children just need to climb up in order to slide down. No doubt that this slide is short, but the child who can slide the child down pretty fast compared to the long slide.

image

image

Rock climbing time!

image

image

image

A game of tic tac toe as well! This is one of the area which the kids love it too.

image

image

image

Lego fun!
It’s the children all time favorite anyway. They have a section of Lego play there as well!

image

image

Once the child gets tired of playing, they get to sit down and do some craft work too!
This is art corner.

image

image

image

The art corner is just too cool yea?

image

And Mr Ayden just love this short slide too much and he can go up again and again in order to slide down and we had been ‘chasing’  him again and again. :)

image

And what are the children doing by sitting down here? Playing of Lego is not the main thing though. They are queuing up to do the paint art either on their hands or faces.

image

And finally it’s Adelle turn to start this paint art. You can see Ayden is getting slightly impatient with the waiting.

image

The stress little girl.

image

And the happy little girl eventually.

image

Ayden is kinda stress when the lady drew it for her.

image

Still as stress when everything is almost done up.

image

image

Adelle n her hello kitty paint art.

image

image

‘Too shy’ look. but actually he is not!

image

image

image

The meal here is kinda ex. For these few items is already costing us almost 40bucks!

But the little girl insisted to have a meal here, we ordered some finger food as we had a heavy breakfast earlier on.

image

Look at how happy Ayden can get.

image

And how happy Adelle is as well!

A great and fun experience @ Cool De Sac with the children today.
They have Lego corner, Art corner, paint Art corner, (paint drawing on the child hand or face), flying fox, mini rock climbing, short and long slides, Tic Tac Toe, walking on the bridge, balls area. Of course, not forgetting the cafe where they have both adults and kids meal.

Now, personally I feel it suits children more than 3yo. Any child below 3yo,its good that the parents are there to guide or to follow them up the long slide, flying fox, rock climbing etc.
Of course, my two little children are the happiest of all today. They enjoyed themselves to the fullest, we were as tired as them as we played and keep an eye on how they had played. So far so good, they did not need much help in all the play areas. (can look at the videos that I’ve posted)

We will definitely be back again!

An invitation to play.

image

An invitation to play is so interesting. Basically it deals with the playing of just whatever educational toys we had.

This is a free play. Let’s see what they are prepared base on their imagination.

image

Getting started.

image

Ayden scoop up the marbles into the bowl and gonna start decorating it.

image

And so, Adelle scoop up everything in the bowl, muffin liners and slowly decorating them.

image

Playing together is so much fun.

image

The end product done by Adelle. In the end she choose to place all the different items in 5 different places.

image

As for Ayden, he just wanna collect the marbles and leave it in the bowl.
That’s something different!

Playing like this is so much fun, don’t you think so?

Bake ‘cupcakes’ using educational toys!

image

Hi guys, let’s bake mini ‘cupcakes’  with Adelle and Ayden!

What are we up to this time?

image

In the midst of preparing though.

image

Oh well, can you guys see the first ‘cupcake’ which Ayden had baked?

image

Same thing goes to Adelle. The very first ‘cupcake’ baked.

image

image

Say cheese, children!

image

image

Something which the children had came up with. Baking of ‘cupcakes’!

What we had here are some pom poms, muffin liners, the wooden educational toy (sticks and beads)

That’s all that are needed!

And the children had a great time by preparing their own set of cupcakes. Be it to decorate them, or even to pretend eating, it’s just so fun to play with.

Learning to spell, to recognize words by playing.

image

Words connector is one activity which I greatly supported. Because it teaches the child to recognize various words, it also help in spelling as well.

Even if it’s not the ‘time’  yet for Adelle to learn spelling, but it’s good to start her earlier with it.

Through this playing, Adelle learns better.

image

image

As for Ayden, he learns as Adelle learned. Yes, that’s when I give the same topic to Adelle, Ayden learns as well.

It seems that he is learning to recognize words just like Adelle. Best of all, to spell out the different words.

Which he knows how to spell from 1-10 in words. Is a good thing anyway. Knowing that he ‘self learn’  this way.

Now what I’ve did for him is to get him to place the right letter on the right word seen. Basically the first letter of the word.

Learning can be very fun if we are able to let the children learn through all these playing.

Rainbow loom journey

image

My cow rainbow loom for Adelle! Still in the midst of making rabbit rainbow loom for Ayden though.
I’m sure Adelle is looking forward to this! (yet to show her)

image

Letter A for Adelle and Ayden!
Now isn’t this so cute to hang it on their bags?

image

Did a Strawberry loom for Adelle. Yes, to hang on her blue bag as well since it will be for her birthday theme, Strawberry shortcake!

It’s just so addicted to get started with doing rainbow loom. I just can’t help Looming for the children.

Of course Adelle can do the simple fishtail loom, those harder designs, I still have to help her with it.
And of course, they love it so much! :)

Fun @ Home!

image

image

image

Matched the same shapes. Making full use of what we had, the children matched all of the shapes to their respective place.

image

image

image

And so, the children are making use of what they had and what they had seen to build their own object.

It’s fun, I know.
For the children will bug me for this activity each time we are ‘free’

Sensory play activity.

image

Sensory play! Marbles, beads and a tub of water.

image

Fun is when the smile is shown on the children face.

image

image

image

image

image

At the end of the day, the children were telling me, it’s fun, Mummy!

You know you are happy, you know the effort paid off, you know everything is worthwhile because the children enjoyed what you had planned. :)
