Library at sports hub on Sun.
This is the first time we make our way there to check out how the library was.
It’s clean, it’s neat and not much of children. Perhaps we are early, and this might be the reason due to it.
Ayden loves the these football theme ‘chair’ and his favorite color was red. (which you can see it)
Picking up books and get started!
Of course for Adelle, she loves books so much that she found a book and quickly sit on the chair and started reading.
Choose a book, start to read.
So happen that they had this children activity and story telling Time when we were there.
Time to get started with the coloring.
They had a great fun at the library. Beside the library, next to it was kallang wave where it’s a shopping mall for a meal after a trip to the library. There are shops which we can go shopping after which.
The mall itself is not too crowded. It’s spacious enough for stroller. There are shops like H&M, daiso, cotton on etc.
Lack of updates since 5th Sept. Back from Melbourne for a week. There are lots of unpacking and washing to be done.
I’ll be back with lots of photos and sharing regarding our Melbourne trip.
Wait for my updates!
. First we had sightwords activity. That’s to make the child understand diff words by playing. All they need to do is to flip over the cards one at a time and match the sightword printed on the card to match with the right word found on the paper.
2. Bingo game for the two kids. Here we are talking about taking turns again.
Simply press on the button of the number machine, whichever number shown, the child will need to place a bead on the number of their own paper. Whoever gets a straight line wins.
3. Homemade tic tac toe using felt.
(this is great for bringing up to the plane for playing if any of you guys are traveling)
Currently teaching Ayden how to play with tic tac toe as he can ‘ challenge’ Adelle with it.
Tap a clock, tell the time.
That’s easy and is great for learning thru play to teach the child on telling Time.
Adelle needs more practice as she tends to look at it for quite a while before saying out the time.
In another word, she needs to think it carefully before telling the Time.
I love to play this game with her knowing that she was pretty much interested in this game as well.
Nevertheless, it’s great as she gets to learn to tell Time as well.
1. patterning activity for little Ayden. What comes next!
2. Tap a letter, place the magnet on the letter after which.
These are some of the very simple activities which Ayden did last week.
Reinforcement I would say.
Over the weekend, we had an educational tour to Fairprice located at Downtown East.
Yes, the children are old enough to understand the various items seen at the supermarket and it’s highly recommended to show them what will be found and their usage.
I’ve always love going to the supermarket and hopefully be able to input more knowledge on it to the children.
That day, the children are enjoying the whole tour I would say. They are most glad with all the touching and understanding of what they see.
Of course, they won’t miss out a game or two at the bowling alley there as well.
Especially Ayden (boy maybe?), he refused to leave the place after many rounds of playing. He wants more.
But I did told the children, we will be back. After all the mama and yeye stayed just a few blocks away from downtown East.
We can be there every weekend if we want to.
And so, we had another round of outdoor activity for the children again.
I would say, Ayden gets better in scooting and Adelle gets better in cycling.
With more practice, I’m sure they will be able to do it well.
They will be able to do cycling or scooting only on the weekends. Pretty hard to go for outdoor play on the weekdays.
Nevertheless, I’ll try to bring them down for it every weekends.
Now, every night we will have a simple activity like this. The children requested to play with this set and I have to source for more ideas daily.
Today, we build some objects together and it was so fun!
I’ve labeled down all our work.
The children get better using this set now.
The children are trying to do a team work together. This greatly create bonding time as well as the idea of sharing and taking turns.
As an ex Pre school educator myself, I believed that children often learn through art and craft as well.
In this generation, we don’t really teach the children to read n write (is not a must), children can learn thru many ways, one of it was art and craft.
Pocket chart activity for the two children.
I’m a little teapot rhyme for them.
The children will form the word after I placed a sightword in the pocket chart itself.
Each rhyme comes with a sightword and this is what I’ll be giving to the children each time they finish reading a rhyme.
Learn thru play is so much fun!
