25th Jan, it’s my Birthday!
Sherryl is thankful for being surrounded with great friends, cousins around me and had a great day spent with my family.♡Spending quality time with family members is important no matter is it on Birthday or normal day. Birthday is just another day which need not be special.
We had a meal out there at Jamie’s Italian and mini cake cutting at home, sweet and simple is all what I had been asking for♡Something different this year was that, both children woke up and gave me a birthday kiss each. My heart melted
Both of them sang me a birthday song without Daddy’s help this yr. They could do it so well that, I know they had grown up to be more mature♡
Nevertheless, my Birthday wish this year is….
To hope for peace in the whole world, to see all my love ones and myself growing strong and healthy.
With this, I’m contented.
Last Sat, after collection of Pre order CNY clothes for the kids, we drop by Bishan library to have brunch and reading of books.
Of course, the children love library so much that they can spend as much time sitting there doing reading.
It’s a good hobby, isn’t it?
Last sun, we went for a simple outdoor activity. That’s to cycle/scoot to the nearby park(Punggol Park)
The children are all so ready to get moving.
Just before leaving the house. Happy children!
Cycling and scooting once a week can be so fun and happy for the children.
Due to school and busy with some other matters. There’s simply no chance for the kids to go down for cycling and scooting.
We decided to bring the kids to the nearby park for a round of outdoor activity.
Understanding on shapes. Using colorful sticks with different sizes to create these shapes..
Got Adelle to learn about ones, tens, hundreds, thousands. We did a simple practice on this some time back.
Learning about time table as well. Got started with time table 2 first.
This is what we did previously.
And we started our geography theme. Continents, oceans, the world!
Again, it’s another play base learning for Adelle.
I’ve covered theme like the world, time table, ones and tens, shapes lately with her. It needs time for her to slowly master these.
I don’t want to rush her as these themes are not so much on her level yet.
I wanna prepare her so that when she reaches primary sch, she will be prepared.
Practice makes perfect!
Different letters, different objects. That’s what I’m trying to reinforce on him so that he will understand better what does each letter stands for.
Using rubber objects to deal with it. Not too bad, he is learning it slowly.
Next I’ve got Ayden to ‘trace’ like this using long, medium, short colorful sticks to work with instead of the usual practice.
Learning sightwords by matching.
Practice word family and reading is equally important for now. He loves to read and blend in family words.
Working closely with patterning and shapes as well.
Lately, he sees the way Adelle is doing her work on the topic Time. He wants to learn just the same thing as her. Oh well, no harm letting him to try.
Practice on number 1-100.
He got it all correct! Great job son!
Play base learning is important. I’ve always emphasize on this.
Children learn pretty much faster this way.
