Homemade teaching materials.
Adelle is trying to sort out all the plural and singular nouns by writing and pasting.
I love this set. It is supposedly to stimulate he children right brain.
Ayden has a go to deal with fractions.
And so, the children did a simple art and craft together by using thicker version of ice cream sticks.
They did their own set of signboard for their room.
Bowling fun! 😁
This pic was taken last weekend when we visited the in laws and went over to downtown East to have a round of bowling as requested by the kids.
Went over to Nex on Tuesday to have breakfast and a trip to the library.
I have a simple task for the kids. That’s to get the kids to write down any new words found in the library book they have read.
And so, these are what they had came up with.
A few rounds of play over at the playground on Mon.
Yes, as promised before school holidays start.
Kids are kids, they love playground.
Of course looking at how they enjoyed, nothing matters.
Coming up with all sorts of things to entertain them during this school holidays season.
What were the kids doing?
Compound words done by Ayden.
To understand the concept of compound words lately. I mean it had been a while ever since they learn about compound words. It is only a few days back, I’ve decided to do this simple activity of asking them to draw and write out some of the compound words that I’ve found from the internet.
I’m pretty happy to see the way Ayden writes and draws. Loves Adelle handwriting as well.
Practise makes perfect, how true this saying can be.
And so, today we did our own set of Bento making as promised.
They can’t wait to get started. First of all, they need to choose their own picks, barans and cutters.
Kids at work. Cutting out their teeny tiny bread.
After which, they are suppose to spread margarine on the bread itself…
Starts to lay the Bento cups, barans, picks and bread into the lunchbox.
And so, they are ready to tuck in!
They did their own bento set today, choose the cutters they wanna use for, pick their own design of barans, bento cups and picks.
Lay the cut out bread into the Bento box together with the rest of the Bento accessories and they are ready to eat their own bento set which they had prepared!
We spend quite a while doing this in the morning. It somehow past time quite easily. (it is school holidays now)
Of course, they hope to have another round of Bento making session again in the near future!:)
And so, we finally made our way down to masak masak 2015 at National Museum of Singapore.
Look at them! Happy!
And so, this is the event known as masak masak 2015 set up by the National Museum of Singapore.
Every year around June, they had such event. I could still remember clearly that last yr when we went, Ayden still doesn’t wanna participate much in their set up games.
This year was different. He wants and even reluctant to leave the museum and asked for more rounds!
As for Adelle, she loves what was seen there and hands on almost every single game.
Nice set up with more games that we played in the past for the children at this generation to have a better idea of.
We went baking again! Yes yes, during the school holidays, we tend to have a little bit more time to do extra stuff like baking.
Of course, I get to bake on normal school days, but in order to let the kids to hands on with, I gonna wait till school holidays.
They love baking, as much as I do.
So last week, we baked pancake mini muffins. It goes well with maple syrup and butter!
We had that for brunch!
As this is the first week of school holidays, we were kept at home because Adelle had this modified chicken pox and PD dignosed she had gotten it 2-3 weeks back.
This week is actually the recovery week.
In order to stay away from outdoor, we had kept her at home. While we were home, giving them some craft works to do. They were glad and happy for this.
I’m glad they are not bored by doing craft works with me.
We did a simple Father’s day card. Did it earlier as we will not be in SG comes Father’s day.
2 days in a row we had been doing craft in the morning, today, being the 3rd day, we shld be doing some simple baking.
Just last Fri, the kids met up with their friends to city square mall for breakfast, have some craft activities cum windows shopping at Toy r us.
They pretty much enjoyed with their friends as this is the very first time they went out together as a group.
Look at the pictures, I’m sure you can tell how fun they had for the whole of that Fri morning.
We had a visit to Palm View pri sch last Sat for its open house.
Of course to have a better understanding of how the school works by the speech given by the principal.
We tour the whole school and find the whole environment clean and new. (they only have students up to Primary 4)
If nothing goes wrong, we should be enrolling Adelle to this primary school.
It is within 1km from home.
These are parts of the Adelle’s pictures during the open house last week.
These are part of Ayden’s pictures taken during open house last week.
PCF had this twice a yr open house every yr. This is mid year open house though.
I’m kinda surprised with the performance done by the kids and felt that they can’t dance well till I see the performance on that day.
I would say, Ayden dances pretty well and kinda cute in a way for his age. As for Adelle, she improved alot ever since her Nursery time till now in k2.
I’ve actually posted their videos in YouTube for future reference.
Many thanks to their teachers for coaching and guiding them in these dance steps.
