Some random pictures of the two kids. 🙂
Learning together with Adelle since young.. She loves to learn new stuff which I’m feeling at ease.
Been doing alot of activities with her…
I’ve downloaded some of the templates for her to use. Beside so, I did photocopy from assessment books, laminated and cut out for her to use too…
She preferred learning thru play.. Thru playing, they get to feel, see and hands on with.. Something that children get to play without feeling the stress of learning…
Ayden learns together with Adelle… At times I’m wondering is he learning things that are more than what he should be learning now.
Therefore I tried to keep the pace down. Do it slowly and doing reinforcement with him for things that he knows.
Of course I’ll teach him other new stuff to keep his learning grows.
Quite a while back, we have got this blackboard cards from Sydney Australia.
Knowing that I’ll be using it for teacher’s Day, I’ve decided to bring back a packet of 20pcs..
True enough I’ve got the kids to do a simple drawing in the card itself and to write down the teacher names using chalk on the card itself…
We did sightwords searching using spinner, we did words that end of either Ed, ING searching as well.
Having to find the right word and to write it down.. Children learn better this way.
There was this school project going around during the Sept school holidays… Children are busy doing their own set of projects…
This is Adelle’s project.. Theme is giving and kindness.
And so, this is Ayden’s school project with the theme of garden creatures …. (using recycled materials)
We did this ‘sensory play’ but with our ‘sea’ made of cloth. Lately I’ve purchased these seashells from daiso and some small sea creatures from a shop at Buangkok Mrt station.
And we came up with this mini play for half an hr. Children love this idea though. 🙂
Again, we had another round of sightwords learning. This time round using mangetic board and magnet at each word at the back. I adapt this idea from Mummy Priscilla (http://angels-of-dala-pris.blogspot.sg/2015/09/week-10-learning-10-frames.html?m=1)
It’s just too wonderful! 🙂
This is a mini set of phonics.. Word blending.. The children are suppose to blend a word and to write it down on the book and they are done with it!:)
Learning thru playing is simply too fun and enjoyable that children are learning so much fr there…
Nevertheless, I’ll come up with a post whereby I’ve source, print and laminate the teaching materials for the children lately… I’ll be back with that post soon, yes pretty soon. 🙂
During this Sept School holidays, we went over to catch Hi5 concert at Marina Bay Sand.
The kids are over the moon upon seeing it which they didn’t expect to see the real casts standing in front of them. They had been seeing Hi5 from the TV though.
This time round, they jump, they dance along throughout the concert.
Knowing that the two children love Hi5 and they get to watch Hi5 everyday at 6pm on Disney Junior. When we told them that the concert that we are going for is a Live performance, they were pretty looking forward and can’t wait to catch the concert!
Looking at the way of how they dance with the Hi5 casts, how they are able to dance by heart, we knew that bringing them for this Live performance is right❣
Of course, we got them 2 goodie bags and Jup Jup(paid extra $100 for these) as they love it so much. This is the first time we brought them for such concert and some goodies fr Hi5 for keepsake.
They love it so much❣
Thankful that we managed to get two goodie bags (they have bag 1-3 with diff stuff in each package) and Jup Jup from the first show as I heard that by the 2nd show starts, lots of items are oos even Jup Jup!
Overall, this is truly a thumb up performance for Hi5,even I love watching it myself❣♡
Some weeks back, we had a family gathering. My two sisters with their husbands, my mum, my own family at ikea for a meal.
Family ties is very important to me. We grew up together in a family whereby we shared alot of stuff in terms of our sch friends, working friends when we were young. Went to the nearby supermarket or mall to shop together n get groceries, walking back home and chit chat along the way.
There are so many things to talk about which we simply had no time for that due to our work commitment. It is only on the weekends then are we able to sit down together and chat.
Now we are scattered around SG, sengkang, yishun, Woodlands and bt panjang. The gathering is always at my parents place in Woodlands.
Hoping for more of such gathering out there as well. 🙂
Had a meet up with Adelle classmate yesterday. Both girls feel shy initially when seeing each other. Once they warm up, things are looking good that they could even read, talk, play together.
Of course, the two younger brothers are trying to play together at times..
We had a meet up got breakfast while the Mummies went for a daiso trip and library trip for the children.
A short session like this during sch holidays is great! 🙂
Teacher’s Day is just around the corner. Every year without fail, I’ll get the children to do some simple diy cards, pack simple gifts for their teachers in school.
Yes, simple gifts that cost less than $10 per teacher. Same as many other parents, I’ll use the cheapest materials to do up a gift that looks ‘costly’
These are part of the project.. Thats to do a last min touch up on the cards for their individual teacher…
I’ll post again on the items that I’ve bought and gotten the children to do it together. 🙂
